Ben Stein gave the world a great Christmas present that I am sad that I am just now getting around to open. From his "How Not to Ruin Your Life" column at Yahoo! (NASDAQ:YHOO) Finance on Christmas Day, Success Is All in a Day’s Work shares a conversation Ben has with a young and talented writer who can seem to find a way to capitalize on his talents. He also seems to have little desire to actually write, and can't fathom why his status as a writer isn't progressing. The moral is simple: effort equals success.
